Church Worship
From Easter 2004 weekly morning worship (Worship @ 10) was established and has seen steady growth. The service was established to make contact with the growing population in the village (Fresh Expressions). It was the vision to make the new service user friendly and as welcoming as possible.
Shortly after this the wooden chairs were replaced with individual padded seats which can be re-arranged as appropriate for the style of service. New signs were placed on the outside of the church.
Worship@10 is informal, with the music led by the music group. There are service sheets and hymns/songs are sung from a hymn book with words also available via a ‘PowerPoint’ projection.
It is not the practice for the clergy to robe during this service apart from communion and baptism services.
There is an evening service at All Saints, which is attended by older and long serving members of the congregation. Those services are at 6.15pm during the summer months and 3.15pm in the winter. They alternate between Holy Communion (CW) and Evening Prayer (BCP). We recently purchased Hymns Old and New (2004 Edition).
Every Thursday morning there is a midweek service of Holy Communion CW traditional) at 9.45 am.
Every other month there is a service of laying on of hands for healing during the communion service on the second Sunday evening service (alternating with St Mary’s).
